Start by generously seasoning your bratwursts with your favorite BBQ rub. Place brats on smoker for an hour at 225 degrees.
Remove brats after an hour and cut each one into 4 equal sized pieces. This will allow them to soak up more of the delicious sauce!
Pour your bottle of BBQ sauce over brats, then sprinkle brown sugar. Lastly, distribute pats of butter evenly.
Cover with foil, and place back on smoker.
Increase temp to 350 degrees and allow to cook 1 hr covered, stirring once. Enjoy!
